This is our strongest category. Unlike our competitors, we have a close working relationship with our highly automated factory.
We choose to use the best quality components for our flashlight. All our LEDs (except the shake light) are from the Ultra-bright White Light LED series from Japan. They are more expensive but they are also 100% to 150% brighter than the regular LED. Therefore, some of our 5 LEDs flashlights may be brighter than the large 12 LED flashlight offered by our competitors. You can compare it side by side. Our aluminum finish is close to the best in the industry offered by Mag-Lite. Our designs are compact, have outstanding styling, and ultra-bright. A LED flashlight is a great corporate promotional give away. We have full personalized service for all our LED flashlights.
Why LED flashlights?
* They have up to 12 times longer battery life than regular flashlights. Regular light bulbs convert 7% of the electrical energy into light and the rest into heat. LED flashlights have an energy efficiency of 90%.
* Save a lot of money on batteries over time
* LED flashlights are robust enough to last 100,000 hours. They will never burn out if you drop the flashlights or shake them. Unlike typical bulbs, LEDs have no filament to break.
* LEDs are encapsulated in a clear plastic. They resist breakage, vibration and water damage.
* LED flashlights emit very even flood light and they are good for reading.
* Recent technology for the optics of LEDs has increased the brightness and allowed for a wider "Beam Angle" of coverage. This has reduced the number of LEDs needed in an array.
* Other recent electronic (Power Converters) and battery technology have also increased the brightness and "Run Time".
* White LED (Clear): Most popular for all-around use. Very close to "Natural Sunlight" which allows you to see "True Color". This is a "Bluish" White color as opposed to the "Yellowish" color of an incandescent bulb. Best color for reading maps or seeing any other multi-color item. Allows you to distinguish between other colors.
Disadvantages:
* A LED flashlight is currently selling 3 to 4 times more expensive than the traditional flashlight. The solid-state circuitry and the LED are expensive. However, we have made a price breakthrough on this technology. Our automated factory has re-tooled to produce LED flashlight efficiently in mass quantity at a price below that of traditional flashlights.
* Beam width is not adjustable for LED flashlights. The LED itself has a build-in lens to project the light forward.
